Director | Nicole Lim
Nicole recalls making home videos with her family as a child. Since then, her facination with storytelling has led her to content creation in a local start up Our Grandfather Story, and overseas in Shanghai to cover socio-economic features for the publication Sixth Tone. She has since honed a keen interest in regional affairs, particularly Singapore's footing amid China's rising influence.
Producer | Syed Ebrahim Al-Idrus
Syed has grown up on a diet of pop culture, cartoons and BBC documentaries. He was a digital producer and editor at TODAY Online, making short explainer/news-style videos that focus on the youth beat and current affairs and also made human-interest video features for Temasek’s annual review. You can also find his occasional writing on Zyrup and the NTU’s campus newspaper, the Nanyang Chronicle.
Director of Photography | Violet Zhang
Violet’s first foray into film came when she helped out on set in a local web production. Her subsequent experience includes cinematography for Tiger Beer x NTU's Uncage Street Food Campaign as well as advertorials and motion graphics for companies such as Style Theory, Content.co, Johnson Controls (Delkor Australia) and Singapore Airlines.
Editor | Esna Ong
Esna started making visual stories as a 13-year-old with too much time to spare at school. She won Best Cinematography (Student) at the Cine65 2015 awards after being nominated for Best Cinematography and Editing in the previous edition. Esna was also part of Go-Far 2018, an annual program for final-year multi-media journalism students at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information.
